ENABLER Signs With Century Media; La Fin Absolue Du Monde To Get Official European Issue

Following the initial release of ENABLER’s acclaimed second LP, La Fin Absolue Du Monde — which hit the streets in May via an alliance between The Compound and Creator-Destructor — the album will now see an official European release through Century Media, as the band has officially signed with the label.

Issued ENABLER’s founding guitarist/vocalist Jeffrey Lohrber of the union with Century Media: “I couldn’t be happier for all of this to come together. We’ve had a lot of good people working behind us for years, friends who have lived through the blood, sweat, and tears with myself and the multitude of extremely talented musicians who have shared the stage playing in ENABLER. Myself and the musicians who share this with me are going to take this to the next level. The best is yet to come.”

We at The Earsplit Compound are stoked to see our close allies in ENABLER get hooked up with an amazing worldwide deal with a label like Century Media and can’t wait to see them remove many faces live and on record through the New Year.

While European fans await the Century Media reissue of the album, those based in North America can order La Fin Absolue Du Monde now, the first pressing of the LP version from The Compound available on black/white/Orange Crush splatter, limited to 250 copies, in a wide-spine, uncoated jacket with a digital download code included, the CD housed in a high-quality, six-panel digipak. Additionally, The Compound released ENABLER’s previous Flies EP, which is also still available on digipak CD (for a mere $5) and on limited import 12” LP courtesy of a licensing deal with London’s Holy Roar Records. Order all physical versions of both releases HERE.

DIE CHOKING Unloads Entire New 7-Inch Via Decibel Magazine; II EP Out Next Week Via The Compound

Die choking promo

In just one week, Philadelphia’s new tyrants of hyperthrash, DIE CHOKING, will release their second blazing 7”, II, and today the entire EP is now playing courtesy of Decibel Magazine.

With a former member of Total Fucking Destruction and current members of Cop Problem and Burden, DIE CHOKING’s hyperactive grind/thrash resounds with an even darker powerviolence edge than their self-titled EP, fueled with even more speed and vehemence, and the perfect bait to lure in diehard seekers of earthmoving brutality citing Wormrot, Brutal Truth, Human Remains, Magrudergrind and Noisear. Recorded and mixed at Mark It Zero Studios with Dan O’Hare (Brutal Truth), as was its predecessor — the music harnessed in one day and the vocals in another — II was mastered by Brad Boatright at AudioSiege (Baptists, Code Orange Kids, Integrity). The full EP is now playing at Decibel Magazine’s online portal, The Deciblog, who has covered the band’s previous endeavor and invited them to open for the Philly date of the magazine’s annual tour, and states of their chance to stream the new tunes, “it is an honor and a privilege to be granted the opportunity to offer up this exclusive full stream of the band’s new blistering, un-fucking-relenting EP, II.”

Unleash a torrent of savage grind/thrash with DIE CHOKING’s II via Decibel RIGHT HERE.

II will see release on September 29th on both digital and virgin red vinyl 7” in a run of 300 copies, the vinyl version including a printed document which will serve as a legal, personal Living Will, to memorialize one’s final wishes upon their time of death. Preorders for the virgin red vinyl 7” can be placed via The Compound HERE and the digital via DIE CHOKING right HERE.

DIE CHOKING will celebrate the release of II with a hometown record release show on October 17th with Pyrrhon, Artificial Brain and Fantasy Panther, and also kick off a week-long DIE CHOKING and Fantasy Panther tour. Additional tour actions will be announced in the coming days.

DIE CHOKING: Cvlt Nation Releases Track From New Seven-Inch Details Of Legal Living Included In EP Posted

Die choking promo

Now just two weeks from release is the second 7” from Philadelphia-based hyperthrash/grindcore trio, DIE CHOKING, simply entitled II, and as The Compound prepares for the wax to hit the streets, today Cvlt Nation leaks a new track from the decimating EP.

Brutal doesn’t even begin to describe the output this destructive, light-speed release, as DIE CHOKING picks up where their debut self-titled EP left off, discharging five songs in less than six minutes. Yet an equally heavy theme surges within the band’s lyrics on II, most notably in its closing track, “Tonsil.” With the vinyl version of the EP, the band is including a printed document which will serve as a legal, personal Living Will, to memorialize one’s final wishes upon their time of death.

Issues founding bassist/vocalist Paul J. Herzog of the track’s lyrics and the inclusion of the Living Will with the EP, “This song is a dedication to the memory of Jahi McMath who died on December 12th 2013. Despite the absolute, irreversible nature of brain death she (as far as I know) remains on ‘life’ support. The controversy of this is obvious but my interest is geared more towards the broader subject of CHOICE in regards to medical treatment during end of life scenarios. It is unfortunate, but families often contradict explicit wishes of dying loved ones. The severe and painful nature of pursuing a ‘do everything you can’ mentality is dire to say the least. This, to me, is pure tragedy. My goal is to open the dialogue a bit and introduce a tool to communicate the questions one needs to ask should they or a loved one be in a life threatening or life ending circumstance. Most people WILL end up THERE and not simply die in their sleep nor arrive to a facility DOA.”

Cvlt Nation is now hosting an exclusive stream of “Tonsil” as well as a peek at the Living Will document and a more extensive statement on the song at THIS LOCATION.

Noisey/Vice previously unleashed the EP’s opening track “Non-Yielder” RIGHT HERE.

II will see release on September 29th via The Compound and DIE CHOKING, on both digital and virgin red vinyl 7” in a run of 300 copies. The band’s hyperactive, earthmoving grind/thrash resounds with an even darker powerviolence edge than their self-titled EP, with even more velocity and fury fueling the tunes.

Preorders for the virgin red vinyl 7” can be placed via The Compound HERE.

DIE CHOKING has booked a hometown record release show for II on October 17th with Pyrrhon, Artificial Brain and Fantasy Panther. This show will begin a week-long DIE CHOKING and Fantasy Panther tour which is partially confirmed, with several shows in the final stages of planning, and new shows are already being booked for later in the Fall.

GHOSTSwebcoverLP

GH/0ST:S, the split album between Tucson’s politically-motivated sludgecore instigators, GODHUNTER, and Oakland’s creators of cinematic, engulfing doom metal, SECRETS OF THE SKY, is now available to the public for digital consumption.

A collaboratively-released effort between GODHUNTER’s own Battleground Records and Earsplit’s label, The Compound, GH/0ST:S bears nearly thirty-five minutes of brand new material, each leading off with a mammoth original track and followed by a more serene and experimental track bearing the “ghosts” theme. GODHUNTER’s A-side tracks were recorded and mixed by Ryan Bram at Homewrecker Studios, and SECRETS OF THE SKY’s B-side tunes recorded and mixed by Juan Urteaga at Trident Studios, after which the entire release was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Following its limited edition cassette release for their Southwestern tour together this Spring, GH/0ST:S will see a deluxe LP release on September 30th — the wax unexpectedly missing its initial release today due to being delayed in manufacturing — pressed on 180-gram black/white swirl wax in a run of 300 copies each including a digital download. But the digital release is today available for purchase via Bandcamp, and to help celebrate, Revolver Magazine is hosting an exclusive stream of the entire LP.

Let GH/0ST:S engulf you courtesy of Revolver at THIS LOCATION.
